The deadline for the guaranteed room rate is July 5, 2012.
The registration fee includes: event registration, one semester hour of graduate credit from George Fox University (you must visit with the GFU representive during the event), two ACSI professional development CEUs, seven meals, a polo shirt, a copy of Dr. Smith’s book (mailed to you upon registration), and a flash drive with all presentations.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort Information
Room rates include room and use of the resort.
Charges are per person, per day.
No taxes charged if reservations are made by ACSI.
- Single Person Room: $169 per night
- Double Person Room: $101 per person, per night
Because ACSI is a tax-exempt organization, we are offering to make your resort room reservation for you to avoid the $20.50 per day tax. ACSI can only do this for the nights of 26, 27, 28 of July. Additional nights will be each individual’s responsibility.
We will make your room reservations according to what you provide us with in the registration form.
Conference Speakers
Keynote Speaker: James K.A. Smith, author of Desiring the Kingdom: Worship, Worldview, and Cultural Formation
James K.A. Smith is professor of philosophy at Calvin College and a Senior Fellow at The Colossian Forum. Jamie is an award-winning author whose books include Who’s Afraid of Postmodernism?;Desiring the Kingdom: Worship, Worldview, and Cultural Formation; and, most recently, Teaching and Christian Practices: Re-shaping Faith and Learning (co-edited with David Smith). He is a passionate supporter of Christian education at all levels and regularly speaks to Christian educators across North America.
Presenter: Ray Pennings is Senior Fellow and Director of Research at Cardus, working out of our Calgary office. Cardus is a think-tank that focuses on the institutions of civil society, believing that they have a significant role to play in the renewal of North American social architecture.
Ray has been the lead for the Cardus Education Project. This $1.1 million, three-year study brought together the work of five university teams to examine the outcomes of Christian education in North America, especially as it regards it’s academic, spiritual, and cultural dimensions. In addition to his work responsibilities, Ray has an interest in issues of public theology and has contributed chapters to four books over the years.
